Check Out This Kickstarter Project – Massive Darkness

Massive Darkness is a dungeon crawling board game for 1-6 players from Cool Mini or Not. It is currently raising funds on Kickstarter, and has far exceeded its funding goal.

You play as one of six distinct heroes with customizable classes in a random dungeon. You do battle with random wandering monsters, and there is a darkness mechanic that allows you to get the drop on unsuspecting foes. Hands-On with Star Wars Imperial Assault

Yesterday I had my first opportunity to pay Star Wars Imperial Assault from Fantasy Slight Games with some friends. The game lets up to five players play a customizable tactical campaign set shortly after the Death Star is obliterated.

Review: Lord of the Rings: The Card Game Review

In my quest to share gaming with my wife, I am constantly on the lookout for cooperative games we can play together. I happened to stumble across The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game from Fantasy Flight Games, and it seemed like an intriguing option. Phoenix enjoys the LOTR universe and Thunderstone, a fantastic deck-building board ngame. A cooperative romp through J.R.R. Tolkiens universe seemed like an excellent way to spend a few hours together.

Lord of the Rings: The Card Game is a one to four  player adventure, where players fight enemies and explore locations with decks of up to 50 cards from four spheres of influence.  The spheres are Leadership, Lore, Spirit and Tactics.

Those Damn Spiders

After meticulously crafting a pair of decks, Phoenix and I were dismayed to be demolished on the Adventure Through Mirkwood mission. Difficulty 1!
