Avengers: Endgame Review

Tom Awesome’s Review Score: 9.5

The official summer blockbuster to end all blockbusters is here, as Avengers: Endgame opened this week. Just a touch under under 11 years ago, Iron Man started Robert Downey Jr. and Marvel down a path to this (inevitable) conclusion. The movie effectively closes the doors to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it, while setting the stage for a host of future adventures.

Tom’s Triumphs – Overcoming a Crappy Month

For most of my life, I’ve had a fear/general distaste about using public restrooms to drop a deuce. I mean, sometimes it’s unavoidable, but if there is any foreseeable way for me to capture home field advantage, I am capable of holding my bowels for long periods of time. My dad and brother will probably never let go of the fact that I once drove 20 minutes to a casino for a bathroom break when we were ice fishing.

Review: Thor Ragnarok

Rogue Hippo’s Review Score: 8

I have an internet connection, and I saw Thor: Ragnarok over the weekend, which makes me more than qualified to write a review (spoiler-free as usual).

Full Disclosure: I would never call myself a Thor fan.  I thought the previous movies were mediocre, I’ve never read any Thor comic books, and I’ve always viewed Thor as simply a walking stoic-warrior stereotype.

So, with all the being said, I thought Thor: Ragnarok was fucking…  Continue reading “Review: Thor Ragnarok”

Marvel’s Punisher Trailer

The Punisher has been one of my three favorite characters since I first got into comics in high school. After enduring an awful, and a couple pretty bad portrayals on the big screen, I am cautiously optimistic the new Netflix series will do Frank Castle justice. Check out the new trailer for the show below!

Re-mastered Ultimate Alliance Panned as “Worst Port of 2016”

Marvel Ultimate Alliance was one of the first Xbox 360 games I really loved. The local co-op was some of the best I have ever enjoyed. The second installment had much better graphics, but I felt the gameplay got a lot worse.

Activision recently revealed that both games would be released for current gen systems for $40, or bundled together for $60. In this golden age of HD remakes, I was falling all over myself trying to insert my credit card directly into my PS4 when the internet saved me from practically throwing my cash out the window.

Taking Alice O’Conners advice in her article on Rock Paper Shotgun, I took a look at the steam reviews. Apparently the games are buggy as hell, and perform worse than the previous versions. VG 24/7 went on to call the games the worst port of 2016.

Total Biscuit, the Cynical Brit spent 14 minutes discussing the games’ issues:

It’s sad to hear the remakes are broken. Would you still buy them if they were $10? Share your thoughts via email or twitter!
